Hi everyone, if you follow woomenz on instagram you would know that this post was coming soon. So here I am with the review of Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Crème. Without wasting time let us start with the review of this matte liquid lipstick.
Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Crème
Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Crème comes in 10 shades with some reds, pinks, browns and corals. The liquid lipstick shade I have is 004 Deep Earth.
Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Crème comes in a silver colored cardboard box with black fonts. The matte liquid lip color is contained in a see through plastic bottle with silver cap. The packaging is quite convenient as well as stylish according to me.Every detail about the ingredients, packaging date, use before date, made in place, weight of the product, everything is present on the outer box not on the tube ( which I hate by the way).
The applicator of this liquid lipstick is neither too long nor too short. It’s a normal sponge tip applicator and it makes application quite convenient. So in overall the packaging is 50-50 for me ( only because there is no information on the liquid lipstick tube).
Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Crème costs Rs 675 for 6 ml of product.
Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Crème has a very creamy, soft and smooth texture. It glides easily and doesn’t feel dry on the lips. But it does not dry down to a matte finish. Yes, it may come as a surprise to you but this is true. I was so disappointed with this ‘matte liquid lipstick’ because of it’s ‘non-matte’ factor. I read some reviews where it was said that this liquid lipstick gives a complete matte finish but this was not the case with me. It WILL NOT give you matte finish. So please don’t go with the name.
Pigmentation & Longevity:
Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Crème is really highly pigmented but the problem is the pigment does not get transferred to your lips. You will get opaque coverage with just one swipe, that’s true. But as soon as you wipe your lips it will be gone. This would have been fine if it remained transfer proof until & unless you wipe your lips. But then again comes another disappointment. This “matte liquid lipstick” is NOT TRANSFER PROOF. Minimum of 85% of the product will get transferred as soon as you press your lips against a tissue.
And the review I read, there it was written that it stayed for 6 to 7 hours, with complete matte finish & is transfer proof. I don’t know how she managed to make this liquid lipstick work for her but I am highly disappointed with this product.
Will I recommend it?
NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I mean I don’t like to spend more than 500 for a product that is not going to give me a matte lipstick finish, is not transfer proof, and not long lasting. I can have a lip balm at half the price if I need only moisturisation. At this price range you can have quality matte lipsticks from maybelline, lakme, even elle 18 provides far better matte lipsticks at a far cheaper rate.
Only weak point for me is the shade. I simply looooovvvveeeee the shade & that is the only reason I haven’t thrown it out till now. It’s been two years & I have only used this once. Thus I will not recommend it to anyone.
